Let me start out by welcoming both new and returning umpires to the 2010 Baseball Season.
After a difficult 2009 season, related to the organization and coordination surrounding our Little League umpire program, I am pleased to announce that SAYB has arranged for Jim Warnest the District 2 Little League Director and long time umpire to act as our 2010 Umpire coordinator.

TRAINING DATES ESTABLISHED
A training session for all returning Little League (Junior Minor, American League, and National League) umpires will be held on March 27th at the Shoreview Community Center from 12:30pm till 2pm.
A training session for all new umpires will be held on March 27th at the Shoreview Community Center from 2:15pm till 4pm.
Games will start in late April or early May so please have an idea about what weekend days/times as well as weeknights that you will be available. Jim's plan is to schedule umpiring at least a month at a time, and if possible the entire season which in some cases will extend into late July.
