League Information

SAYB offers various league opportunities for youth residing in the 621/623/624 school districts. Players interested in joining SAYB can do so by choosing the appropriate league offering below.

The determination of a player's age varies by league affiliation. From ages 5-15, ages are defined utilizing the birth date of April 30th. If you are ages 16-19, review the information posted on the website for the appropriate league for further details.

Little League - Tee Ball & Coach Pitch (Ages 4-6)

SAYB has developed a longstanding partnership with Centennial Lakes Little League to offer 4 and 6 year olds the opportunity to play in their tee-ball and coach pitch leagues.  Interested players age five and six from within the 621/623/624 school boundaries are invited to participate.  All games will be played at Lexington Memorial Park in the city of Lexington.  Registration is completed through Centennial Lakes Little League who also forms the teams.  If you have questions about these leagues please contact 763-780-3836 or refer to the Centennial Lakes Little League website for further information.

Little League:

Ages 7 - 8: Instructional League
Ages 9 - 10: Junior Minor League
Ages 11 - 12: American/National League
SAYB is affiliated with the Little League International program to offer players ages 7-12 an opportunity to participate in youth baseball. Little League has a long and tested history of policies and rules intended to develop players of all abilities as players progress through these informative ages. Interested players that reside within the 621/623/624 school boundaries are invited to participate. Note that for the 2009 season our borders have realigned to include all of the 623/624 school districts. (SAYB Little League Boundaries)

It should be noted that both the White Bear Lake (WBL) and Roseville school districts have baseball associations that participate in the MYAS program. We have opened our borders to include all of the 623/624 school districts to accommodate players interested in a Little League experience but we encourage every individual to review all options to determine what meets a players needs in the best manner possible.

Big League:

Ages 13 - 15:  Big League

SAYB is affiliated with the MYAS baseball association to offer players ages 13-15 a range of youth baseball participation opportunities. Traditional SAYB borders for this age group have included portions of the 623/624 school district. See specifics at this link: SAYB Big League Boundaries.

As always, if living within the “yellow” area highlighted on this map, players are eligible to participate in our program. New for 2009 is the acceptance of 623/624 school district residents. However, if not living with our traditional boundaries (area in “green” on the map) the participant must obtain approval from their local baseball association (Either WBL or Roseville) prior to registration.
